The Brooklyn Nets announced today they would assign guard Tyshawn Taylor and forward Toko Shengelia to their D-League affiliate Springfield Armor. Both will be in action Friday night as the Springfield Armor takes on the Erie BayHawks.

Taylor was drafted in the 2nd round by the Portland Trailblazers and had his rights sent to Brooklyn. The Hoboken native has appeared in 10 games for the Nets averaging 1.3 points, 0.1 rebounds, and 0.3 assists per game.

Shengelia was picked up by the Nets after an impressive run in their summer league averaging 10.2 point and 3.6 rebounds while shooting 52.9% from the field. Although he wasn’t expected to play much, Shengelia appeared in five games for the Nets averaging 2.0 points per game.
