With the current losing tirade the Los Angeles Lakers continue to find themselves in, the Brooklyn Nets are actively pursuing trade possibilities with Laker center Dwight Howard according to RealGM.com.

The sources of their report indicate that Billy King, Nets General Manager plans to make contact with the Minnesota Timberwolves to initiate a three-team trade that would send Kevin Love to the Lakers, Brook Lopez to the Timberwolves, and Dwight Howard to Nets.

We’ve heard several reports that Minnesota Timberwolves management isn’t sold on Kevin Love being their franchise player, so in that sense it would seem possible that the Timberwolves were interested in making a deal for Love.

Nets players are imminent on keeping Brook, coinciding with a more recent report from the New York Daily News. Their sources are saying that the Nets have zero interest in acquiring Dwight Howard, and have even met with Brook Lopez privately to assure his current status with the team. Lopez is currently signed to a four-year deal worth $61 million.

More developments are certainly soon to come, as we have heard ad nauseam how Brooklyn has always been Howard’s preferred destination and remains to be.
