Raptors Acquire Rudy Gay in Three-Team Trade

As Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reported, the Toronto Raptors have acquired Rudy Gay from Memphis in a three-team trade involving the Memphis Grizzlies and the Detroit Pistons.

Memphis Gets:

  • Ed Davis
  • Tayshaun Prince
  • Austin Daye
  • 2nd round pick

Toronto Gets:

  • Rudy Gay
  • Hamad Haddadi

Detroit Gets:

  • José Calderón

Rudy Gay is currently averaging 17.2 points and 5.9 rebounds this season. Haddadi is averaging 1.2 points and 1.8 rebounds per game. The Memphis Grizzlies will clear an estimated $37 million over the course of two years.

The Toronto Raptors are currently 11th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 16-29. Calderón is set to become a free-agent after this year is completed.
