As the NBA trade deadline dwindles down to 23 hours, the Boston Celtics plan to make moves, but how big they are willing to spend will play a factor.
According to CSNNE’s A. Sherrod Blakely, Celtics captain Paul Pierce has received “lukewarm” interest around the league. The longtime Celtic has been linked in with a number trades including a Josh Smith trade.
#Celticstalk: #Celtics are basically down to one major chip of significance (Pierce). Source described interest in Pierce as “lukewarm.”

If the Celtics want to blow up the Big Three ship, it starts off with No. 34, and then the rest will follow. The rest meaning Kevin Garnett would take his intensity to Hollywood, and possibly Danny Ainge could seek a trade for his point guard Rajon Rondo.
A lot of speculation is rolling around, but Pierce’s name has been in many reports, though, it will take a ton to drive Pierce out of Beantown.
Update: Terrence Williams has officially signed a 10-day contract with Boston, and will be in uniform tonight against the Los Angeles Lakers.
