According to A. Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE, Rondo will seek a second opinion on his ailing knee. Only this time he is targeting Dr. James Andrews to be the examiner.

The 2013 NBA All-Star caught word of his serious injury on Sunday, and delivered the unfortunate details to Doc Rivers and company against the Miami Heat (in which the Celtics won).

Dr. James Andrews, who is very vital in the sports medicine world, provided Adrian Peterson with a ton of aid to heal his torn ACL. The results –a rejuvenated knee, 2,000-plus yards, and a Pro Bowl selection.

Rondo is most certainly taking the correct path. He wants the top of the line doctors so he can race back onto the hardwood and help his team win a NBA championship as soon as possible. And ultimately Andrews is the positive direction to pursue.
